Born and raised in Brooklyn, Alea Cerha Vist's journey in the world of technical theater began at a young age, fueled by her fascination with building miniature models. At the young age of 9, she had her sculpture exhibited at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City.
Alea is a recent graduate of LaGuardia High School, where she studied technical theater with a focus on both carpentry and theater management. Talented, dedicated, and deeply passionate about the craft of live performance, Alea has already proven herself to be an invaluable presence behind the scenes, ensuring productions run smoothly from concept to curtain.
Alea is currently continuing her studies at the Sands College of Performing Arts at Pace University under the mentorship of Emmy Award winner April Bartlett, Clinical Lecturer and Head of the Production & Design for Stage and Screen Program, and Jay Duckworth, Clinical Associate Professor and the Prop Master who created Hamilton. The program is highly selective, admitting only 16 students each year with an acceptance rate of just 2%. With a unique blend of hands-on expertise and organizational talent, Alea is ready to deepen her practice and bring bold, immersive experiences to life onstage.
